Folks write back to us with wonderful stories and words about their new puppy that they have bought. They are so very kind. Here are a few from over the years..
My husband and I bought our golden retriever, Gage., from you in December 2005. He is absolutely the best animal I have ever had and is such an instrumental part of our family… I cannot get over the resemblance in Buckfast and Gage. No doubt they are father and son…I cannot tell you enough on how lucky we were to have found your family and your golden retrievers. We count our blessings to have Gage every day!

J. and I came out on Thursday and picked out a beautiful little girl from your Bonnie. Needless to say, we were excited and overwhelmed with all of the puppies and the beautiful Bonnie and Buckfast parents, as well as Abby.

I got a wonderful puppy from you 13 years ago (December of 1999)...he was son of King Cotton Bud Baron and Texas Yellow Rose III... Our beloved Scamp passed away a year ago. We are looking to get a puppy for the kids for Christmas and would love to have another from you! Thanks so much!

Here are a few pictures of Nate. in his new home. He's doing great! We just love him. He's well behaved and his house training is going much better than I was expecting. He's winning Charley, our King Charles Cavalier, over a little more every day. No wonder, as everybody who has met Nate. LOVES him!

Just wanted to send this picture I took of Nate this week…one of your Spring pups we picked up in March. He's 5 months old now, 43 pounds and doing great! You can see how much he has grown and what a handsome fellow he is! Nate is a sweetheart.......very loving with a gentle, sweet, mellow nature. He's also very smart! He sits on command and will shake hands with anyone who asks him. He will come to us when called and will come more quickly if he knows there is a treat involved! He pretty much has the whole potty training thing down. He will now go the door and whine if he needs out. He has a deep bark, but doesn't use it much......only when we come home and he is so excited to see us. His newest trick is that he has learned to speak on command. He's now had all his puppy shots and the vet says he is very healthy. He does seem to have a sensitive tummy so we really keep an eye on what he eats and puts in his mouth. That seems to be getting better, though, as he gets older…Anyway, just thought I'd send you a pic and an update on him. He has definitely stolen our hearts already and he seems very happy here, as well… :-)

Thanksfully, we do have beautiful HAPPY BUDDY, which we got from you in 2010 (bounsy, always happy!!). Buddy is 3 years of age. It is obvious Buddy had a lot of love as a puppy from you because is arrived and stayed so so happy!!! Always well too – never sick. Thanks and much appreciation.

A friend of mine asked today where to get a dog like Birdie so I sent her your website! My kids bought our golden from you and gave her to me for a surprise Mothers' Day gift 5 years ago. She has been an absolute joy to all of us. Thank you for such great breeding. Birdie lives to be near people and other dogs; my daughter likes to say that she "is happy to be alive." We walk daily, almost always with her younger golden friend two doors down, Lulu. She loves, loves to swim. Before she was one, she travelled to both the Smokey Mountains and the Rocky Mountains!! She's very easy on a road trip. Before she was one, she graduated from the Petsmart Canine Good Citizen School and also with us trained quite easily to stay in our yard with an invisible fence. I cannot remember the last time she actually wore that collar; she stays in our yard; she knows her boundaries. She lives with a himalayan cat named Rocky; they don't like to show us, but they really are great friends. I'm attaching a couple of pictures so you can see how lovely she is. I hope you can tell just how very much we love her. Blessings,

It’s been a while since I’ve reached out, but I was looking at some stuff on-line and came across your website. I looked at a few pictures and was surprised as to how much Dozer looks his dad. I thought I’d send along a few pics…Dozer is doing great – very happy and healthy. He had a good run at being a therapy dog at an Alzheimer’s facility in Round Rock; I ran into some time commitment issues and had to put that on pause. Mostly he just likes hanging out with the kids. Hope you all are doing well! Thanks, Andy S., March, 2016
I just wanted to send y'all an update of your "runt" that we came and picked out ... She has been just a complete joy to us!!! We all just love her so much!! She seems to be catching up pretty good! She looks a lot like her mom. Such a great girl!! Take care!

I wanted to send you an update on the male that we had gotten from you back in February 2016. Allister has grown up affectionate, playful, and above all, happy. We cannot thank you enough for bringing him into our lives and I wanted to share a great photo of him this year in the bluebonnets. I hope that you and your family have a wonderful day!

M. and I were just talking this morning about how happy we are that we found y'all! We decided to name our little guy Wyatt Lyndon - the Lyndon part was to remind us of your LBJ story because we enjoyed meeting you so much! So far Wyatt has been extremely healthy and is growing very fast. We can't take him anywhere without people gushing over how cute and well behaved he is. He and Baxter have become inseparable and we love watching them play! I have included just a few pictures. We hope all is well with both of you and little Wyatt sends his love. Regards,

Our family could not be more please with "Brinkley"! He is bright, playful, respectful, loyal, HAPPY, loves the older Golden we also received from you!!!! Thanks! Brinkley is already over 35 lbs, looks like he will be a big Golden. Thanks ever so much! You are making a big difference in God's world - making families happier with precious puppies! Sincerely and appreciation,

I just want to let you and your wife know how much we love our new addition to our family. He is kind sweet and full of energy! My husband calls him a golden believer for his true happiness in life and lack of understanding on how to retrieve ! for now. I will send you a few pictures to show you how handsome he is... Huck and Lolli should be proud of this little one.

I wanted to share some pictures of our growing girl, Bennie. We brought her to the vet to get microchipped and the vet couldn't get over how beautiful she was. Everywhere we bring her, people want to know where we got her…She is so smart (not that we ever doubted that) and SO sassy! She keeps us on our toes and cracking up constantly. She knows sit, high-five, down, stay, and come so far. She learned high-five on day one of clicker training from simply watching brother Bowie do it three times! We're going to continue to work with her from home and get her into group/one-on-one training this summer once I'm out for summer. I just wanted to update you on how she's doing! Again, we thank you so much!

Lucas had his second shots and had no worms. He his adorable and has fit in with our Tebow and Brady beautifully! We love him so much and appreciate how you bred and raised him! We still stroke him and call him pup pup! God bless you all!

Just wanted to let you know that Lily is doing great. She fits right in and has a very sweet temperament. Cali watches over her and plays gently with her. She loves to swim too. Cali is now a certified therapy dog, so she and I go to the Ronald McDonald House in Galveston to see burn patients from Schreiner’s hospital. You should see the kids’ faces light up when they see her. She has the perfect temperament for that too. Take care,

Just wanted to thank you again for the fantastic pup. We couldn't be happier. The vet said you guys must do a great job, because he was the most mellow dog they have seen. He is doing really well and has fit in nicely with our other dogs, so the whole family couldn't be happier. Thanks again!!
Craig B., April, 2017
I wanted to send you an email to tell you that Tucker (what I named my pup from poly & bleu's litter) is a great puppy. I'm very glad I was able to find such a sweet puppy from one of your litters. I will definitely look to you for any future pups. Tucker is healthy and doing very well. I took him to my vet in Houston yesterday and they had rave reviews about him and his health. He is doing very well and he hasn't had any accidents in the house and many of my friends have been impressed about how well he was potty trained at a young age. Thanks for selling me a great pup as young Tucker has been a joy and I look forward to sending you updates as he grows! Thanks again,

It's been 3 weeks since we brought Cooper (turquoise) home. He's a gem!!!! We love him SO SO MUCH. I thought I'd share some pictures and a story with you, especially since your wife is retiring from being a teacher. It's about our nine year old, G., the one that was crying when we left because he "just didn't want to leave all the other puppies". In third grade, his school has a "vocabulary parade" and the third graders dress up as the word of their choice and parade around the elementary school for all the students to see. We were trying to decide what word to be and I suggested "Acacia". I had just told him about your nice phone call about the honey and the Acacia Tree. We have Acacia wood on our stairway and upstairs. And we reminded him that Cooper's Mom's name was "Acacia". G. was hooked!... Cooper is great! Potty trained from the get go. Our other two dogs are warming up slowly. At first that worried me and made me sad. But I've been reassured that it's normal and that after about 5 weeks it becomes better. They aren't mean, they just look at him more like a nuisance right now. But they are starting to play with him outside... Enjoy the pictures and thank you again for your kindness and for raising and nurturing these pups. We felt such a nice vibe on your property and with you. We knew it was the right place to bring home our next beloved being. All the best!

I bought a boy Golden from you. He was born September 27th. He is a little over five months, doing well, and is such a well-behaved joy to our family. He’s such a brilliant boy.
Saige R., March, 2018
She’s amazing!! She’s so smart. Goes potty when I say it. Comes on command and we’re working on “release” when we play catch🤗sleeps all night and loving her food!! Thank you so much for our wonderful Bess.

Thank you so much for all of your help in getting this dog to me. Anna, the Golden I bought from you nearly 12 yrs ago will forever be one of the greatest gifts God has ever given me. I know Ms Red Collar, Daisy as we'll name her, will be the same..Because of your willingness to continue breeding these precious dogs in memory of you treasured wife, you bless so many families and dog owners. I hope your heart continues to heal and wish you all the very best. God bless you.
